B+W Awarded Craig MacLean Leisure Centre – Grantown-on-Spey

August 2016
B+W are very pleased to announce that they have been awarded the contract to supply, install and commission the 20 metre, 4 lane pool filtration & water treatment plant at the Craig MacLean Leisure Centre, in Grantown-on-Spey.

B+W recently completed the design for the extensive pool refurbishment, which will see the existing freeboard converted to deck-level and a modern filtration & water treatment plant being installed. The combination of these improvements will result in enhanced water quality for the bathers.

Craig MacLean Leisure Centre opened in April 2007 and is named in honour of Grantown-on-Spey’s Olympic cyclist and is situated within the beautiful Cairngorms National Park.

Craig MacLean is one of only two people in history to win both an Olympic and a Paralympic medal, having won Silver in the Team Sprint at Sydney 2000 and Gold in the Tandem B Sprint at London 2012.

The pool is also home to the popular Grantown Swim Club.

We are delighted to be working once again with Morrison Construction, after recent pool projects at Portobello, Wick & Newbattle High Schools.
