Center Parcs – Woburn
Following the successful refurbishment of the Center Parcs in Elveden Forest, Barr + Wray were awarded a £4 million contract to install all of the pool filtration and water treatment plants and pumping equipment for seven large free form pools, located in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise at the new £250 million holiday village at Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire.

A team of sixteen installation engineers were on site throughout the eighteen-month project.
The outdoor infinity pool and seven other pools offer a variety of facilities while the flume rides in the free form Subtropical Swimming Paradise are among the best in the UK.
The contract saw Barr + Wray deliver all of the pumping, pipework and controls for the flumes, water play structures and water features, as well as the filtration and water treatment systems for the pool in the spa, pumping equipment for the water and air features, pipework and controls.
Barr + Wray worked in close conjunction with specialists ProSlide Technology to create three water play structures, a Tornado, a family raft ride, Twister, an enclosed bodyslide flume and Typhoon, and a thrilling two-seater enclosed tube ride. Barr + Wray also worked in close conjunction with water park and aquatic planning, design and engineering specialist Water Technology Incorporated to source pipe and filter vessels designed to increase water efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
