Project Details

We are proud to contribute to the restoration of the historic 67-metre Hilsea Lido in Portsmouth. Having first welcomed swimmers in 1935, Hilsea Lido has long been a valued part of the Portsmouth community.

Barr + Wray’s supply and installation of a high-performance water treatment system is designed to deliver exceptional water quality while improving operational efficiency and reliability.

The installation includes steel filter vessels, Grundfos circulation pumps, and an Ultra Aqua UV disinfection system, serving the 145 m³ pool with a plant flow rate of 371 m³/hr. The modern filtration system ensures the historic lido benefits from reliable, efficient water treatment while meeting the demands of a busy public swimming facility. We are delighted to have played a role in its refurbishment and look forward to seeing this iconic outdoor lido enjoyed by generations of swimmers for years to come.
