London’s Landmark Skyscrapers often gain nicknames which evolve informally throughout the planning process. This is specifically renowned in the corridor that stretches from the City to the Southbank. Here you will find the likes of the Shard, the Walkie-Talkie, the Cheesegrater or the Gherkin, with “the Vase” at One Blackfriars being the latest addition to the capitals horizon.
Inspired by a piece of 50's art, One Blackfriars was designed by architect Ian Simpson and built by Berkeley Homes brand St. George.
Boasting 50 floors, this luxurious development houses 247 opulent apartments, including a 17,000sq ft prized penthouse.
Underneath the building lies a 3-floor basement, which offers a spa, gym, cinema, golf simulator and winery, as well as a Harrods concierge 24/7 service and valet parking.
B+W are thrilled to have been involved in such a prestigious project. We were responsible for the design, supply, install and commissioning of the 20m, Myrtha lap pool and associated filtration system, located in the basement. Alongside the pool, our scope of works also included the spa facilities; consisting of a sauna, steam room, snow cabin, vichy room, experience shower and an ice fountain.
One Blackfriars offers the utmost in luxurious living and is ideally situated to embrace London’s rich cultural life as well as sweeping views of the city – allowing residents to enjoy the best that London has to offer.
