Stanley House estate; a 17th century country house in the Ribble Valley, UK has completed the final chapter in a major investment programme with the launch of a five-star day spa, eighteen new bedrooms and an extension to the bar and brasserie. Spanning two floors, the multi-million pound, 932 square-metre (11,000 square-foot) spa has a rural theme.
There are five treatment rooms and relaxation rooms, a thermal suite, a Hydropool with mood lighting, a double treatment suite with Rasul or private steam room, a Finnish sauna with panoramic views, experience showers and an ice fountain, as well as a gym and pilates studio.
B+W designed, supplied, installed and commissioned the concrete tiled Hydropool - utilising a UV water filtration and treatment system. The Hydropool showcases some of B+W’s range of bespoke stainless steel attractions used for hydrotherapy including a 4.5-metre air lounger, body massage station and fibre optic neck massage jets. The infinity edge of the pool adjacent to the floor to ceiling windows has views looking over the Ribble Valley countryside. Clever use of underwater colour changing LED lighting within the pool compliments the use of chromotherapy throughout the spa.
