Skibo Castle (Scottish Gaelic: Caisteal Sgiobail) is located in the Scottish Highlands in Sutherland overlooking the Dornoch Firth. Although the castle dates back to the 12th century, the present structure is largely of the 19th century and early 20th century, when it was the home of industrialist Andrew Carnegie.
It is now operated as the Carnegie Club, a private members only club with around 400 international members. The pool is in an added attraction to the already existing five-star spa, banking on Lake Ospisdale.
In an adjacent building, which resembles a boat house, lies the filtration system. The pool benefits from a fully ozonated filtration and water treatment system providing the ultimate in water quality.
B+W was appointed to design, manufacture and install the 20 x 8-metre stainless steel lap pool and treatment system.
