B+W is delighted to have completed and handed over the first Olympic Legacy Pool from the 2012 Olympic Games. The London games pool and filtration plant has been installed at the University of Bath and is the first 50-metre Myrtha Legacy pool of its kind to be installed. Working with the main contractor Ikon Construction, B+W carried out the decommissioning and removing of the existing pool and filtration plant before installing the new 50-metre Olympic Legacy pool and filtration plant.
This legacy pool will be used by the university as well as being a training facility for the British Olympic swimming team. This contemporary swimming complex will be fitted with underwater cameras and windows so that the training can be analysed.
