The pool at Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley, Renfrewshire reopened to the public during the summer of 2012, as part of a wider £8 million refurbishment currently underway at the complex. Renfrewshire Council lead the project under the Building Better Communities programme.
A new fitness suite, dance studio and group cycling studio have already opened at Lagoon Leisure Centre, following the conversion of a former ice rink which closed in 2007.
B+W’s scope included the refurbishment of the water filtration and treatment systems for the wave pool, learner pool and flume pool – updating to UV from ozone which was installed by B+W over twenty years ago. The pool will also boast a new flume and water features.
As part of the Renfrewshire project, B+W is also on site for the new Linwood Sports Hub which includes the design, supply and commissioning of; ultra-violet water filtration and treatment systems for three pool areas - a competition-standard swimming pool (25m x 13m), a learner pool (15m x 7.5m) and a free form leisure pool with beach and water features such as lazy river and flumes.
