B+W is delighted to have recently completed work at this new £11.3 million leisure centre. This project is being funded by Allerdale Council and is set to replace the communities existing leisure facility at Moorclose.
This state-of-the-art centre will feature a main swimming pool (25m x 17m) and a learner pool (15m x 10m) with spectator seating. Other facilities include a 90-station gym, studios, sports hall, three five-aside artificial sports pitches, a sauna and a steam room.
B+W was responsible for the design, supply, install and commissioning of both the main and learner pools and all associated water filtration and treatment systems. The main pool and learner pool were constructed using Myrtha technology, which has many benefits over traditional concrete pool construction. The learner pool also benefits from a full movable floor, which give the clients the flexibility to cater for various target groups.
B+W worked alongside Robertson Construction (the main contractors) and Saunders Boston Architects on this project.
