The Breadalbane Community Campus in Aberfeldy will bring together a contemporary school which will act as a host of facilities for the town and surrounding area. It opened its doors to pupils quite recently, with the Breadalbane Academy pipe band leading them in.
The school is one of six campuses built through the council’s multi-million-pound Investment In Learning programme. The campus will offer modern classrooms for nursery, primary and secondary pupils, sports and recreation facilities, ranging from a swimming pool and fitness suite to climbing wall, sports pitches and squash courts.
Aberfeldy Academy houses equipment which was designed and installed by B+W such as; 5-lane competition pool (25m), round ceramic tiled spa pool (2.5m) and an 8-square-metre sauna.
The main pool is constructed using the Myrtha pre-engineered modular stainless steel systems and one piece underground balance tanks. B+W was also responsible for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the ultra-violet filtration and water treatment plants.
