B+W is delighted to have completed the design, installation and commissioning of the Myrtha pool (25m x 8.5m) and associated water filtration treatment system, which is based on medium rate sand filtration with chlorine disinfection, pH correction and UV sterilisation.
Working together with main contractor Balfour Beatty and JM Architects, B+W was thrilled to be a part of the completion of the new £28 million Portobello High School, now the largest school in Edinburgh. Along with the new swimming pool, this school will house a number of sports pitches and be the first school in Edinburgh to take advantage of the latest technology in biometrics to ensure that meals and snacks are paid for as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Fully funded by Edinburgh City Council, the school is set to open to pupils on Thursday 27th October 2016.
